Things to Do in the Burren

There is a lot to do in the Burren, with plenty of festivals, weekly food and activity events, not to mention the music!
Listed below is a number of events that are coming up this year beginning April 21 2014.

No matter what your interests, the Burren holds something for literally everyone! From sporty adventurous types to avid nature lovers – you will not be disappointed in the Burren.

Check out this list of upcoming festivals, activities and food events:

May 1 – June 1 2014 – Burren in Bloom – This is the 9th annual festival celebrating the blooming of the unique and diverse range of flowers in the Burren.

May 19 2014 – Fluacht Fia – (Food Trail Mondays) Savour the atmosphere and taste of ancestral feasts re-created around a recreation of the ancient field kitchen.

May 23 – 25 2014 – Burren Slow Food – The 8th Burren Slow Food Festival 2014 will be held on 23rd, 24th, & 25th of May. The festival will take place in the Pavilion in Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare.

May 23 2014 – High Tea in the Burren – Enjoy a guided mountain walk including tea from a volcano kettle cooked on the mountain top.

May 26 2014 – Mountain Goat’s Cheese – (Food Trail Mondays) Walk the Mountains, See the Goats, Taste the Cheese! Marie will guide you onto the mountain and tell you the story of how her ancestors farmed the land and were almost self sufficient.

May 30 2014 – Natural Elements – A day long eco-adventure outdoors experience of the Burren combining surfing, climbing and electric biking.
